In 2014, CIEC struck luck again in finding a partner organization willing to host the 16th WFC: Vinicius Benites from EMBRAPA (Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation) organized the first WFC under the presidency of Ewald Schnug, 21 years after being vice president in charge for CIEC´s conferences.

CIEC continued the following three years with conducting the 23^th - 25^th Fertilizer Symposia in Son (NOR, 2015), Coimbra (PRT, 2016) and Groningen (NLD, 2017), each of them dedicated to local issues of fertilization. 

In addition to the 24th Symposium in Coimbra the newly founded national branch CIEC-ASIA celebrated its inauguration with a spectacular conference in Linyi (PRC).
