The 16th CIEC World Fertilizer Congress was held at Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, 2014, and organized by Prof. Ewald SCHNUG as CIEC President. In 2014, CIEC struck luck again in finding a partner organization willing to host the 16th WFC: Vinicius Benites from EMBRAPA (Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation) organized the first WFC under the presidency of Ewald Schnug, 21 years after being vice president in charge for CIEC´s conferences.
