Article 4
The membership of CIEC is open to every person and institution engaged or interested in the objectives and aims of the Society as outlined in Article 3.
Membership in CIEC is on invitation only, requires at least the recommendation of two established CIEC members and the unanimously acceptance by the Assembly of Members. Except for the President and Honorary President, the membership shall lapse if the member will not attend the CIEC Symposia personally or is being represented by a deputy. In any case, the President will take the final decision, considering the reasons of the absence. A member can be expelled by the Assembly of Members (at 50 % quorum and simple majority) if the rules and regulations of the Society have been violated.
